Arauco North America will invest $30 million to grow the particleboard and thermally fused laminate (TFL) capacity at its mill in Bennettsville, SC. The new technology is expected to be in place by the fourth quarter.

Shipments of thermally fused laminate (TFL) in July were up 3.3% from the comparable month in 2012, despite falling 3.7% to 106 MMSF compared to 110 MMSF last month, according to the Composite Panel Association (CPA).
