Acimall, the Italian woodworking machinery and tools manufacturers’ association, named Lorenzo Primultini, president of Primultini as president. The association also announced that Biesse will exhibit at the Xylexpo woodworking fair for the first time since 2008.

What a difference a year makes. Last January we were reporting on major woodworking machinery companies pulling out of the International Woodworking Fair. Last week our headlines trumpeted their return to the U.S. trade show stage being set at the AWFS Fair in Las Vegas.

RHO, ITALY – The organizers of Xylexpo, Europe’s biggest woodworking event of the year, say they have signed up 550 exhibitors and more than 127,000 square feet of display space. In a press release, Xylexpo officials said, "The figures are encouraging. The situation in the wood industry - that the global economic crisis has been influencing strictly - is not stopping applications from exhibitors coming from all over the world."
