Standard Furniture CEO Todd Evans will step down from his position at the residential furniture manufacturer. He will act as an advisor to the leadership team in a transition period through Nov. 1.
Standard Furniture will cease manufacturing laminated casegoods at its Bay Minette, Alabama, location by March 31, and relocate its home accessories and warehousing operations to the location. Approximately 185 jobs will be cut.
Furniture manufacturing at Standard Furniture is expected to be back to 100 percent by Monday following fires Tuesday night, April 5, at the two sawdust collection silos.
