ISFA launches safe solid surface education initiative

PITTSBURGH -- The International Surface Fabricators Association has launched its Safe Solid Surface campaign. The idea behind the educational initiative is to help make architects, designers, healthcare facility planners, consumers and all other surfacing specifiers aware of the clean and hygienic properties of solid surface during this time when cleanliness is so critical to everyone’s health.

Solid surface site expands coverage, services

TUCSON, Ariz. – SolidSurface.com has announced an expansion of services and website re-launch and re-design. The site offers premium grade material from most major leading brands; overstock, discontinued, and remnant solid surface sheet material; tools and accessories, including color-matched adhesive and finishing kits. The site is a division of SurfaceNet LLC, and is an online resource and marketplace for the decorative surfacing industry.

Stone Countertop Features Antibacterial Surface Treatment

An anti-bacterial coating for granite and other stone has been developed by Antolini, a quarry and stone curator. Based in Italy with U.S. distributors, Antolini says it is the first to apply the treatment - which it brands as A Zerobact - to stone surfaces. Intended for food preparation areas, A Zerobact is available on its newest Signature Stone Collection, and has certifications from the US EPA, EU for Food Contact Safety, NSF for Food Contact Safety. A stamp of authenticity is applied to all slabs treated with A zerobact.
