Royal Plywood, Blum, Colonial Saw/Lamello, Hafele, ESI, Decore-ative Specialties, Rockler Woodworking, and West Wood Products donated nearly $8,000 in supplies, tools and giveaways for students at the 2016 SkillsUSA California State Cabinetmaking Championships, held April 2 at the Town & Country Resort and Convention Center in San Diego.

Royal Plywood, Blum, Inc. and other generous companies showed their support for students in woodworking by contributing over $7,000 in tools, material, supplies and gifts to the 2014 SkillsUSA California Region 3 (Los Angeles) and California State woodworking contests, held February 1 and April 26, respectively.

Delcam has donated over 1,000 Delcam University courses, with a total value close to $300,000, to the SkillsUSA partnership of students, teachers and industry representatives who are working together to ensure that America has a skilled workforce.

Woodcraft’s AWFS Fair participation this year included support for two student competitions – SkillsUSA and Fresh Wood. Woodcraft provided tools for the SkillsUSA event and a financial contribution for Fresh Wood.

The competition provided by organization SkillsUSA gives student the opportunity to showcase their talents in cabinetmaking, welding, graphic design and more.
