United Furniture Expands North Carolina Operations

United Furniture Industries said it will use a former Linwood Furniture plant in North Carolina for distribution of its imported residential furniture products. The estimated 400,000-square-foot facility will be used for storage and distribution of bedroom and casual dining room furniture kits from Malaysia and Vietnam, to be sold under the Simmons brand.

Seven crib makers recall 2 million units

WASHINGTON -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), with the cooperation of seven firms, is announcing voluntary recalls of more than two million cribs to address drop-side hazards and other hazards that affect the safety of young children.
