KCMA partners with OSHA on table saw safety

RESTON, VA – The Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Assn., in cooperation with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, announced a new Table Saw Safety Training Program. The program was developed by Kelly Moore Consulting and the KCMA through its alliance with OSHA as a tool for cabinet manufacturers to use in training their employees on the safe operation of a table saw. The training program is composed of the following five components:

OSHA releases new workplace injury and illness database

WASHINGTON – The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has launched a searchable database of work-related injury and illness statistics collected since 1996 from more than 80,000 employers. OSHA uses the data to calculate injury and illness incidence rates to guide its strategic management plan and to focus its Site Specific Targeting Program, which the agency uses to target its inspections.

OSHA to hold public brainstorming meeting

WASHINGTON – The Occupational Safety and Health Administration plans to hold a public meeting, “OSHA Listens,” to solicit comments and suggestions from OSHA stakeholders on key issues facing the agency.
