Osborne Wood Products' Christian Smedberg tells closet designers and manufacturers how to profit by using wood table legs, decorative corbels, mouldings and other embellishments, more typically associated with kitchens, in their high-end projects, at the 2014 Cabinets & Closets Expo.

Attendees of the 2014 Cabinets & Closets Expo, April 10-11 at the Garden State Exhibit Center, will be treated to a variety of free presentations on the Expo Demo Stage ranging from sales force automation and soft close hinges through repairing laminate damage and profiting from reclaimed woods.

Osborne Wood Products, a manufacturer of decorative wood components, will once again host a Food for Thought Ideation Breakfast during the 2014 Cabinets & Closets Expo.

Another milestone approaches as Osborne Wood Products celebrates 35 years of business in 2014.

When designing custom cabinetry for a client, cabinetmakers can never have too many sources for quality wood components.

The best part of building custom furniture is “the pleasure I get when I see how much other people appreciate and appreciate the finished project,” according to woodworker Dwayne Hobbs. Dwayne, a hobbyist woodworker and former teacher of the trade, comes from a long line of woodworkers. “My grandfather owned a shop in Tifton, GA. He took measurements on site and took them back to his shop to build custom windows and doors.” Dwayne’s great grandfather built the 1st Methodist Church with its elaborate oak detailing. The church has since then been converted into the city museum.
