Huber drops plans for $440 million OSB plant after court ruling

In June of 2021, Huber Engineered Woods announced that it planned to build a $439 million OSB plant in Cohasset, Minn. But, after nearly two years of planning, negotiations, and court appearances, the company has decided to seek another location for its sixth manufacturing facility.

Ontario approves $15M grant to help resurrect former OSB mill

WAWA, Ontario – The Ontario government is providing a grant of up to $15 million over four years to Wawa OSB Inc. to reopen a plant to produce oriented strand board (OSB).

G-P acquires Grant Forest OSB facilities

Georgia-Pacific has completed the purchase of Grant Forest Products’ oriented strand board (OSB) facilities at Allendale and Clarendon, SC, as well as the facility at Englehart, ON, and the associated facility at Earlton, ON. The acquisition, first announced in January, totaled approximately $400 million.
