Steelcase Reports First Quarter Results

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., June 21, 2010 -- Steelcase Inc. (NYSE:SCS) today reported a first quarter net loss of $(11.1) million, or $(0.08) per share, including an $(11.4) million charge resulting from the recently enacted healthcare reform legislation specifically related to the Medicare Part D Subsidy. Steelcase reported break-even net income in the first quarter of the prior year.

Haworth earns LEED Gold

Office furniture giant Haworth’s global headquarters and the San Francisco and New York City showrooms recently achieved LEED Gold certification from the USGBC. The Holland, MI-based headquarters also earned the U.S. EPA’s ENERGY STAR rating.

Knoll Reports Second Quarter Results

Knoll, Inc. (NYSE: KNL) today announced results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2010. Net sales were $192.3 million for the quarter, a decrease of 4.9% from the second quarter 2009. Sequentially, when compared with the first quarter of 2010, net sales increased 9.7%.
