BIFMA appoints Van Winkle to board president

JASPER, Ind. -- Kimball International, Inc. has recognized the appointment of president and chief operating officer Don Van Winkle to the role of board president of the Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association. Van Winkle succeeds Sylvain Garneau, Group Lacasse, in that capacity. Van WInkle previously served as board vice president/president elect.

The U.S. Supreme Court decided against hearing a case challenging the controversial Byrd Amendment, potentially freeing at least $60 million held by the U.S. government to be distributed to the petitioners of the 2004 furniture antidumping case against wood bedroom furniture made in China.
