RESTON, VA – Cabinet sales for January 2010 decreased 6.4% compared to January 2009, according to participating members of the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Assn.’s monthly Trend of Business Survey. The decrease was the lowest reported by KCMA members in more than two years. Stock cabinet sales decreased -11.9%, semi-custom sales increased +5.6% and custom sales decreased -11.9%.

RESTON, VA – The Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Assn., in cooperation with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, announced a new Table Saw Safety Training Program. The program was developed by Kelly Moore Consulting and the KCMA through its alliance with OSHA as a tool for cabinet manufacturers to use in training their employees on the safe operation of a table saw. The training program is composed of the following five components:
