Leitz Tooling appoints Cariano president

CarianoGRAND RAPIDS, MI —Leitz Tooling Systems, a world-wide manufacturer of machine tools for processing wood and advanced materials, announced the appointment of Bill Cariano to the position of president, overseeing all North American operations for the company. Cariano was formerly with Stiles Machinery.

Stiles will re-allocate resources and not participate in IWF

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Stiles Machinery Inc. announced it will not exhibit at the 2010 International Woodworking Machinery & Supply Fair this August in Atlanta and will instead re-allocate resources that would have been incurred by participating in IWF. In a press release, the company said, "Stiles has been proud to exhibit at every IWF since its inception, but feels that it is inappropriate to do so this year given economic realities."

Stiles and Cefla to end distribution agreement

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Stiles Machinery Inc. of Grand Rapids, and Cefla Finishing America Inc. of High Point, NC, jointly announced changes in their distribution agreement. 2010 will be a transition year during which Stiles and Cefla will work together to service and support their wood-related customers. By December 2010, Stiles and Cefla will dissolve their agreement in favor of separate distribution strategies.
