Architectural woodworking firm Zepsa Industries continues to grow its operations. The Charlotte, North Carolina-based firm will open a 20,000-square-foot plant in Pompano, Florida, by the end of the year, its second expansion within a year.
HNI's latest expansion and renovation plans continue to move forward, with the office furniture giant being granted tax benefits on the estimated $17.8 million capital investment. This project is in addition to the $30 million expansion and renovation already underway at another HNI facility.
Upholstered furniture maker Delta Furniture Manufacturing is expanding its operations with the addition of an 80,000-square-foot facility in Houlka, Mississippi. The residential furniture company said the $432,000 investment will also create 100 jobs at the plant, which was once occupied by Astrolounger.
KronotexUSA and its parent firm Swiss Krono Group will invest $230 million to build a high-density fiberboard mill and expand the company's laminate flooring production in Barnwell County, South Carolina, a move which will create 105 new jobs over the next few years.
Boise Cascade Co. will invest $23.5 million to expand its plywood operations in Chester County, South Carolina. The expansion is expected to create 52 jobs at the Chester Plywood mill.
Hardware manufacturer Salice has expanded its sales and service with the establishment of two branch offices in Southeast Asia. Salice Asia is based in Hong Kong. The cabinet and furniture hardware manufacturer also opened Salice China in Shanghai.
The nation's largest cabinet manufacturer continues to grow. MasterBrand Cabinets announced it is expanding its operations at the Auburn, AL, facility, adding a third shift and 150 employees. This will bring the total number of employees at the plant to 530.
Arauco North America is investing $325 million to build the largest continuous press particleboard mill in North America. Located in Grayling, MI, the new mill will produce 424MMSF (750 MCM) of panels per year, along with full lamination capabilities to support the Prism TFL decorative surfacing program.
WEST ALLIS, WI - Brew City Countertops & Millwork Inc. has doubled its manufacturing space to 20,000 square feet. The West Allis, WI cabinetry and woodwork firm added new machinery, including a CNC router.
