PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va.—  Ison Furniture Manufacturing Inc. will invest $3.5 million to acquire and renovate the former A.C. Furniture Co. facility in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. The North Carolina-based Ison will also use the money to purchase new equipment for the assembly and full production of its upholstered furniture products, according to a statement from Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam.

The more than $5.8 million investment in a second facility in Marion County, South Carolina, will create 30 jobs and increase the company's manufacturing and storage capabilities. The expansion is expected to be completed by the end of 2021.

E-commerce furniture and mattress provider Zinus USA Inc. will invest $108 million to build its manufacturing facility in Georgia. Expected to open in the first half of 2021, the new facility will also serve as a distribution center.

EIGHTY FOUR, Pa. – Citing the increasing demand for engineered and manufactured wood products on the East Coast, 84 Lumber has opened a dedicated components plant in New Britain, Pennsylvania.

Milwaukee Tool announced it will make an initial investment of nearly $26 million and build a new manufacturing plant in West Bend, Wisconsin. The first phase of construction will include a 75,000-square-foot building, that can be expanded to 225,000-square-feet. Plans call to break ground in April, with mass production to begin in early 2021.

Building materials provider Carter Lumber will open its first manufacturing operation in Pennsylvania. Carter Lumber said it will invest at least $6 million into the project, which will support the combined creation and retention of 212 jobs.

Arauco's 820,000-square-foot facility houses North America’s largest-capacity, single-line particleboard press, two thermally fused laminate (TFL) lines and a large warehouse. It is the first new U.S. greenfield composite mill in about 20 years.
