Boise Cascade opens second door facility in Texas

BOISE, Idaho - Boise Cascade has announced it will open a new door production facility in the Houston, Texas, market. The 160,000-square-foot facility will be used for the assembly of Therma-Tru exterior doors and offer PrismaGuard premium stain and paint finishing options, along with Therma-Tru Composite Frames featuring Tru-Guard™ Composite Technology. It will also offer Simpson wood entry and interior pre-hung door units.  Production at the facility is expected to start in the third quarter of 2021.

Decking plant plans expansion

ATLANTA, Ga. – MoistureShield Composite Decking, part of Oldcastle APG, has announced plans to increase its capped composite decking production by up to 50% at the company’s centrally located Springdale, Arkansas plant. The high-performance decking manufacturer said it expects to add capacity by the second quarter of 2021. The investment will position MoistureShield, which uses 95% recycled content to manufacture low-maintenance decking, to meet growing customer demand for its capped wood composite products, the company said.
