AUSTIN, Texas — Scandinavian Spaces has broken ground on a 43,000-square-foot facility in Round Rock, Texas. The modern Scandinavian-design furniture provider said the new facility will house a showroom and warehouse to support the next chapter in its evolution, including the establishment of a quick-ship program.

NANAIMO, B.C. – Atlas Engineered Products Ltd. has agreed to purchase ZyTech Building Systems’ manufacturing assets from its former Langley location for roughly $1 million.

Laminate Technologies' expansion will include the installation of a new automated hardwood plywood press line to increase capacity and production. The addition will create 42 jobs at the custom laminator.

BOISE, Idaho - Boise Cascade has announced it will open a new door production facility in the Houston, Texas, market. The 160,000-square-foot facility will be used for the assembly of Therma-Tru exterior doors and offer PrismaGuard premium stain and paint finishing options, along with Therma-Tru Composite Frames featuring Tru-Guard™ Composite Technology. It will also offer Simpson wood entry and interior pre-hung door units.  Production at the facility is expected to start in the third quarter of 2021.

Highland Pellets said the partnership with Orion Energy Partners will help fund the expansion and upgrade of its wood pellet facility in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and provide capital for long-term growth initiatives.

ATLANTA, Ga. – MoistureShield Composite Decking, part of Oldcastle APG, has announced plans to increase its capped composite decking production by up to 50% at the company’s centrally located Springdale, Arkansas plant. The high-performance decking manufacturer said it expects to add capacity by the second quarter of 2021. The investment will position MoistureShield, which uses 95% recycled content to manufacture low-maintenance decking, to meet growing customer demand for its capped wood composite products, the company said.

The upholstered furniture manufacturer will add more than 100 jobs to its Paoli, Indiana, location.

British cabinet producer Wren Manufacturing Inc. has announced plans to establish a North American headquarters and manufacturing center in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. A combined 360 jobs will be created by the custom kitchen cabinet manufacturer.
