VANCOUVER, BC - Canfor Corp. has completed its acquisition of Anthony Forest Products for $93.5 million, including $15 million in working capital. The El Dorado, AR-based AFP operates six facilities, including a sawmill, two lumber laminating plants, two chip plants and an I-joist plant.

The Canfor (TSX:CFP) sawmill in Canal Flats, British Columbia, which has a two-shift production capacity of 180 million board feet, will permanently close in November 2015. Employees will be transferred to other sawmills.

VANCOUVER, BC - Canfor and Conifex say an investment agreement between the two lumber producers for $30 million has been completed. The loan by Canfor (TSX:CFP) to Conifex Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Conifex Timber (TSX:CFF) is for five years, with the proceeds to be used for general corporate purposes.
