A major supplier of recycled-wood fuel to the Gainesville biomass plant sued the plant operators today for more than $5 million in damages due to breach of a long-term fuel supply contract.
KiOR, which converts wood and other cellulosic fibers into gasoline, said in an SEC filing it is unable to make a $1.8 million loan payment to a state agency that funded it, and has retained advisors to develop strategies, including possible sale.
