Southern Tree Species Thrive as Northern Hardwood Forests Heat Up
American beech, sugar maple, and white ash in forests in the Central Hardwoods Region of the U.S. will be affected by rising temperatures, and Southern species should be planted, says a study by U.S. Forest Service.
