Phenix Lumber, a sawmill in Phenix City, AL, and its principal, John M. Dudley, have been slapped with penalties totaling more than $1.9 million by the U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

SYLACAUGA, AL — Fire Investigator Joe Hassell says a fire at the former Rumsey Lumber building in Sylacauga, AL, probably was caused by arson, according to WTYM. More than a dozen firefighters fought the blaze. Hassell says a lot of lumber was stored in the building, as well as old church pews, millwork and trim. Read more.
