Lightshifter, created by Austrian designers F/LIST, is a material concept that allows wood veneer to become a light source at the touch of a button. When activated, the wooden surface is transformed into a stage for light displays that lend depth and dimension to a flat surface. When the light is no longer required, the veneer returns to its original state - without leaving any visible traces.

When Fairwood Manufacturing in Millersburg, Ohio, began having trouble with the legacy control on its 2002 C.R. Onsrud 96C12 twin-table CNC router, bringing production to a standstill. The solution was a controller retrofit solution.

According to an email blast sent out by the company, all operations have ceased on October 20, 2025.
