The Southern Forest Products Association (SFPA) has announced that, for the fifth consecutive year, shipments of Southern Pine lumber recorded an increase from the previous year.

Southern Pine has new design values effective June 1, along with a pocket span card.

Spans for Southern Pine joists and rafters, including those based on the new design values for visually graded dimension lumber effective June 1, are featured on a new pocket span card now available from the Southern Forest Products Association (SFPA).

New design values for ALL sizes and grades of visually graded Southern Pine dimension lumber were published in the SPIB Supplement No.13 to the 2002 Standard Grading Rules for Southern Pine Lumber on Feb. 11, 2013.
