I am building a 6 segmented 56" outer ring for a poker table. I cut the pieces from a template that I made. However, as things would have it, the ring is slightly out of round (1/4 to a half an inch). I have not jointed them yet, just laying them out. This has left me with 2 or 3 of the joints with small gaps, the largest being approximately 1/8th inch. Can I just dry fit them together with dowels, find the problem gaps and saw through them and re fit for a better fit? I'm at a loss here?
