The story of the Petit Moulin du 4 miles began with a love of wood and the forest. The owners are so passionate about wood they have planted some 600,000 trees in northern Quebec and British Columbia over the last 30 years. They have now settled in La Patrie, a forest, agricultural and maple region of Quebec. They utilize Western Thuya that grows in the region – commonly known as the white cedar of Quebec – to manufacture cozy and colorful artisanal cedar saunas to help Canadians weather the long, cold winters. The one-and-a-quarter-inch thick walls are made of planed and molded cedar, and the roofs are constructed of raw cedar clapboard. Highlighting the beautiful color range of the Sansin wood protection palette, the saunas are coated for long-term durability and beauty with Sansin SDF on the cylindrical sauna bodies and rooftops.
