Results and financial position for this first quarter show that Richelieu continued to increase its total sales and net earnings and maintained a healthy financial position with excellent liquidity.

Richelieu achieved consolidated sales of $565.8 million, an increase of $42.0 million or 8.0% over 2011, of which 5.6% from internal growth and 2.4% from the contribution of Outwater Hardware and Madico Inc. acquired in January 2011, along with Provincial Woodproducts Ltd. acquired in March 2011, and CourterCo, acquired in May 2012.

For the third quarter, Richelieu achieved consolidated sales of $148.8 million, an increase of $12.7 million or 9.3% over the corresponding quarter of 2011, of which 6.7% from internal growth and 2.6% from the contribution of CourterCo Inc. acquired on May 1st, 2012.

Richelieu pursues its growth in Canada and the United States and increases its earnings per share by 21.3% in the second quarter of 2012.

Hardware manufacturer and distributor Richelieu topped off another quarter of sales growth and profitability with the acquisition of CourterCo. It was the company's sixth purchase of a U.S. company in the past two years.
