The Rainforest Alliance, curator of the SmartWood certification system, has produced a video promoting its consumer products bearing its green frog seal.
Since being uploaded on Youtube on September 16, the "Just Follow the Frog!" video has generated more than 265,000 views and counting.
The 3-minute, fast-paced video was written and directed by Max Joseph, whose clients have included Nike, Starbucks and Pepsi. It follows actor Tim Rock, who quits his office job, leaves his family and heads to the Amazon forest to battle reainforest destruction. and befalls a series of calamities.
The Rainiforest Alliance suggests that he could have saved himself a lot of trouble and personal griief, noting, "You don't have to go to the ends of the Earth to save the rainforest. Just Follow the Frog!? Shop for Rainforest Alliance Certified products" like Endangered Species Chocolate, Lipton Tea and Martin Guitars.
