"Built to Last," is a product of the Chicago Regional Council of Carpenters' Labor and Management Committee in production partnership with Lakeshore Public Television. The home was built during its second season. Beginning in 2013, the show goes national. "Built to Last," a television show prooting quality carpentry and cabinetmaking, was produced by the Chicago Regional Council of Carpenters' Labor and Management Committee in production partnership with Lakeshore Public Television.

Sponsors of Season 2, which airs beginning January 25, 2014, include SPI Coatings, Ozinga Concrete, Bosch Tools, and Great Northern Lumber.

The Carpenters Union operates an apprenticeship program used by both union and non-union shops in the Chicago area. This summer, the union local produced a public television series promoting union cabinetry, flooring and construction workers to consumers.
