CHICOPEE, MA – A woodworking employee of Parisi Incorporated, a manufacturer of custom architectural woodwork and store fixtures, sustained serious injuries Wednesday when his arm got caught in a press that was in operation at the plant.
The unidentified 36-year-old man suffered what was described as "crushing injuries" to his hand and arm, according to 22News. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.
According to its website, Parisi is a family-owned business that was founded in 1962 and purchased Royal Store Fixtures in 1995. Parisi employs approximately 100 designers, engineers and woodworkers. Services include design and installation of custom woodwork for office, retail stores, schools and restaurants throughout the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. The company's headquarters is in Newton, PA.
