Holz-Her won a Challengers Award for the GluJet, a melt-on-demand adhesive application system for edgebanders that gives the appearance of zero-joint edgebanding. Here’s how it works:
Using conventional adhesive systems, GluJet heats up quickly and meters the glue precisely, eliminating over-application that can lead to sloppy joints. The glue is extruded and delivered under pressure, penetrating the fibers and filling all the voids in any workpiece for an extremely strong and durable bond, Holz-Her says.
GluJet has three independent heating circuits and can be used with EVA and PUR adhesives, in granules or cartridge form Read more about this edgebanding technology.
