SMTCL's new horizontal turning center, the EHC125300, is a high-precision CNC horizontal lathe that can handle parts up to 118 in. and features swing over the bed of 49 in. It comes standard with a 1,000mm chuck, eight position turret, steady rest, hydraulic tailstock, and a chip conveyor and can handle shaft parts weighing up to 11,000 lbs. The machine weighs 44,000 lbs and is priced under $300,000, the company says.
