We’d like to introduce you to some new members of the Timber Products lineup: Ampine and Encore Particle Board. These may not be new names to you—after all, Ampine is one of the most recognized names on the West Coast, and the only particle board mill in the state of California. Ampine and its Encore line of products have a trusted history of quality and innovation, and we're excited to add them to Timber Products’ offerings.

The Ampine line is great for laminating—everything from high-pressure laminates and thermal-fused melamine to paper, vinyl and paint. One of our best sellers is an industrial-plus grade, which is a specially blended panel created after requests from the thermal-fused melamine lamination market. Also available is countertop-grade particle board along with a shelving line that is prized for its physical properties and light color.

The Encore line offers standard industrial panels made with a no-added formaldehyde resin system (NAF) and has several options with higher physical properties and fire-resistant panels.

Encore SELECT™ has a higher physical property than standard NAF particle board. It is great for those who demand an NAF panel that out-performs your everyday industrial panel. 

Encore HD™ (high density) has even higher physical properties and can replace many applications where MDF was once specified. This extremely durable particle board can be used for slatwall and other demanding applications.

Encore FR™ panels are designed for critical applications where Class 1 flame retardant material is required. They have a low flame spread and smoke development as well as extremely low VOC emissions. We also offer Ampine FR™, which is a more cost-effective panel, offering CARB II and Class 1 (A) certification.

Ampine’s product lines are proof that engineering products to meet customers' specific needs is just good business. In 2016, we expect to see growth in our specialty Encore particle board line—along with the continued demand for our everyday industrial and commercial particle board panels.
