After a successful run in October 2017, Wood Pro Expo will return to Lancaster October 18-19, 2018 at a new larger venue, the Warehouse at the Nook.  Wood Pro Expo is a regional show for woodworking businesses bringing suppliers and experts together for a localized presentation of equipment and supply solutions. In each city where it takes place, it includes a strong educational program on best practices for shop production, and as well as an expo oriented to equipment and supplies geared to small and medium-size shops, including CNC basics, employee recruitment, finishing, lean manufacturing, business management, software, and shop safety.

Launched in 2014 in Baltimore, the show moved in October 2017 to Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and now moves to Charlotte on February 14-16, 2018 prior to its next run in Lancaster.

Wood-Mode celebrates design and innovation by selecting 2024 Design Awards Winners

In early 2024, Wood-Mode, a leader in fine custom cabinetry, launched a new tool for its network of 600 independent dealers across North America – the Inspirational Project Portal – that allows dealers to easily share their best and most beautiful projects showcasing Wood-Mode cabinetry. The launch was accompanied by an invitation for dealers to submit projects for the Wood-Mode 2024 Design Awards.

Housing starts end 2024 on an up note

WASHINGTON — The National Association of Home Builders is reporting that housing starts in 2024 ended on an "up note."The association representing more than 140,000 members said the positive results were fueled by solid demand, single-family construction moved higher in December despite several headwinds facing the industry, including high mortgage rates, elevated financing costs for builders and a lack of buildable lots.
