Gov. Charlie Crist declared a state of emergency Wednesday and issued an executive order to protect the state’s agricultural products.
The order, effective until Jan. 28, eases highway restrictions to allow for faster harvesting and transportation of crops that may be damaged by cold weather. Weight, height, length and width restrictions are among those being relaxed for commercial vehicles taking such crops to processing sites.
