Egger invests more than $42 million to increase production capabilities and capacity

Wood-based materials manufacturer Egger Wood Products has started production on a third lamination line at its Lexington, N.C. facility. The $21 million investment will expand the company’s thermally fused laminate (TFL) production capacity by 50%, increasing production to more than 155 million sq. ft. per year, and alleviate supply chain and logistical challenges for customers.

Sunbelt Forest Products unveils brand identity and expanded product line

BARTOW, Fla. -- Sunbelt Forest Products unveiled a new logo and redesigned website this week, reflecting the company's enhanced offerings in the wake of two years of unprecedented company expansion. In 2021, Sunbelt Forest Products acquired Spartanburg Forest Products to become the leading supplier of pressure treated lumber and wood fencing to Lowe's and independent lumber yards throughout the Eastern United States. With the Spartanburg acquisition, Sunbelt Forest Products has grown to 12 locations with a service area stretching from Florida to Maine.

American Woodmark plans to double plant's size

American Woodmark will soon start construction to double the size of its plant in Richmond County, North Carolina. The cabinetmaker held a ceremonial ground breaking on Feb. 21. The expansion is expected to create 500 new jobs including 131 in North Carolina, and add more than 500,000- sq.-ft. of manufacturing and assembly capacity.
