LAS VEGAS – PremierGarage LLC, a manufacturer and franchisor of garage storage systems, was named the Best of the WOOD 100 for 2007 by Wood & Wood Products at a ceremony held during the AWFS Vegas Fair.
Actor Richard Karn, former co-star of the hit show Home Improvement, presented the award to Mark Loberg, founder and president of the company. W&WP Associate Publisher Rich Christianson provided the reasons for why PremierGarage was chosen for this honor during a speech leading up to the award presentation.
PremierGarage ranked No. 1 in sales growth in the 2006 WOOD 100 Report and No. 17 this year. The company has amassed 87 franchises throughout North America since beginning its franchise program in 2003. Total consolidated sales are expected to exceed $32 million this year.
Christianson noted that Loberg was perceptive in recognizing the opportunity to capitalize on the garage storage niche. “Not content to rest on its laurels,” Christianson noted, “this company recently embarked on a lean manufacturing and continuous improvement program at its facilities in Phoenix and Atlanta to cut waste, improve quality and increase productivity to more efficiently service its growing number of franchisees.”
In June, Loberg was named a Regional Entrepreneur of the Year in the Business Services category by the prestigious accounting firm Ernst & Young.
PremierGarage’s rise to success will be featured in the September issue of W&WP.
