Woody Biomass Plant Coming to White Swan, WAWHITE SWAN, WA -- An $80 million wood biomass plant is in the works and slated to be operational by fall 2013.

The four-unit, 20-megawatt complex, dubbed Simkwiii Energy LLC, is being developed by Tiin-Ma Logging owner Kip Ramsey. It will utilize woody debris from Yakama Nation forests, according to the Yakima Herald-Republic. The plant will reportedly handle 160,000 tons of wood debris per year and employ 30 people.
