In 2023, the club made or collected about 3,000 toys.

The DuPage Woodworkers are a local organization in a far Chicago suburb that meets once a month to share knowledge of woodworking. They are known in the area for producing toys for children who might not otherwise get Christmas gifts.

The group conducts workshops to teach people how to make some of these toys several times a year. This year, the DuPage Woodworkers handed out 2,500 toys to several Chicago area nonprofits—which in turn will hand out the toys to parents who need financial help during the holidays.

To support its motto, Learning by Sharing, the group's meetings feature a "From Our Workshop" presentation where members can share their project and explain it to the attendees.

The DuPage woodworkers club in the western suburbs of Chicago provides an opportunity to share an interest in all kinds of woodworking. "Who are we?," said the narrator in the video below detailing the club, its mission and a few of its members. "We're people who love wood. We make things; good things, sometimes even great things."
