A recent posting described “15 odd jobs that pay insanely well,” on MSN.com. Woodworking was included, even though the example wasn’t a job that paid well.

Other jobs described, all paying significantly more than woodworkers, included a wildlife control agent, elevator installer, embalmer, and cruise ship entertainer.

A job as woodworker was described as combining creativity, attention to detail, and skills operating computerized machinery. The article pointed out that a woodworker can still be a craftsman, but also must be comfortable using automated machinery.
