Wisconsin Wood Products Firms on Mission to ChinaMADISON, WI – Wisconsin wood products businesses interested in growing exports to China are invited to join a Business Development Mission to China this spring.

The Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) wood products mission, March 24 – April 2, is also coordinated by the state's Department of Natural Resources, its Economic Development Corporation and the American Hardwood Export Council, and funded by the SBA.

“China is the number one importer of wood products from the United States," said Jennifer Lu, a DATCP Economic Development Consultant. "There is great potential for Wisconsin companies to increase their exports during this specialized mission.”

The mission will travel to Guangzhou and Shangha with a pre-mission business assessment, admission to the furniture and woodworking trade show Interzum Guangzhou in China with the American Hardwood Export Council,  in-country business briefings and translation of company and product materials.
