Weinig CEO gets 5-year contract extension

Gregor Baumbusch, CEO of Weinig

At its meeting on March 22, 2022, the supervisory board of Michael Weinig AG appointed Gregor Baumbusch as CEO for a further term of office until December 31, 2027.

Leadership on the management board remained unchanged. Baumbusch will be support by Dr. Georg Hanrath (technology) and Axel Steiger (financial).

“This vote is a clear recognition of Gregor Baumbusch’s previous achievements and lends valuable continuity to the company,” said Thomas Bach, chairman of the supervisory board. Bach said that it was his "firm belief" that the contract extension will set the course for the next five years of Weinig: “We know that the huge challenges that lie ahead are in the best hands with him, and we wish him the very best of success.”
