SHANGHAI, China -- After a successful showing at IWF in Atlanta, Valinge Innovation AB launched its Threespine click furniture technology on the Asian market during the China International Furniture Expo (Furniture China) in Shanghai. The launch reportedly generated interest and resulted in a new license agreement.

Valinge participated in the Furniture China show for the second consecutive year, this time to launch its click furniture technology under the new brand Threespine.

The Threespine technology was demonstrated in several furniture products and samples in materials ranging from solid wood to compact laminate and acrylic. There was great interest in the technology and a license agreement was signed with the Korean high-end furniture manufacturer Children’s Dream Land. The company, which produces durable and eco-friendly solid wood furniture for kindergartens and schools, chose Threespine for both cost-saving and quality reasons.

According to company president Woon Il Baek: “Threespine will enable us to save significant time during assembly. We also believe that it will have a positive impact on our image as a high-end furniture brand – not the least since we are now the first company in Asia to implement the technology. An important factor in our decision was also the excellent technical support by Valinge throughout the process.”

Children’s Dream Land will showcase their first products with Threespine at the upcoming trade shows the Hongkong Toyfair and Spielwarenmesse early next year.
