GRAND RAPIDS, MI -- Anthony (Tony) Brown, a former long-time employee of CMS North America, passed away May 23 following a struggle with cancer. He was 74.
Mr. Brown, who retired last year, was with CMS North America when the Italian-based manufacturer of CNC machining centers, opened its North American office in 1987. He began as a sales representative in the company's wood division and more recently was area sales manager for its stone division in the southeastern United States.
Before joining CMS, Mr. Brown worked as an area manager for Wadkin of the United Kingdom for 20 years. In his youth, he served in the Royal Air Force (RAF).
Mr. Brown is survived by his wife Margaret Mary Brown, his two daughters, four grandchildren and a great granddaughter.
