Timber Products Facilities Meet Green Standard

SPRINGFIELD, OR – Timber Products Co. has announced that all of its hardwood plywood and particleboard plants are now third-party certified to meet the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Assn. Environmental Stewardship Program (ESP) standards.

Last month, the company’s Medford, OR, particleboard plant achieved Environmentally Preferable Product certification from the Composite Panel Assn., thus qualifying the facility for KCMA recognition as well. The Medford particleboard plant joins the company's hardwood plywood facilities in Grants Pass, OR, Medford, OR, and Corinth, MS, as ESP-approved manufacturing sites.

“I applaud KCMA’s leadership for developing an excellent environmental program. Cabinetmakers are increasingly utilizing sustainable materials to fulfill the growing market demand for green products,” said Timber Products Vice President Roger Rutan. “All our facilities are now qualified under the KCMA guidelines, so cabinet producers can be assured that 100% of our panels will help them meet Environmental Stewardship Program requirements.”
