LEESBURG, VA - Shipments of thermally fused melamine panels through April are running 7.1% behind the same period in 2011, according to the Composite Panel Association.

April TFM shipments of 106 MMSF represented a 1% increase from March, but a drop of 1.6% compared to April 2011.

THe CPA extrapolates its monthly report based on data received from 62.2% of the U.S. industry and 79.2% of the Canadian industry.

TFM panels are a popular material for cabinets, closets, furniture and other wood products.
