Technology meets design next week at Wood Pro Expo Texas

The Cabinets & Closets Conference & Expo, co-located with Wood Pro Expo Texas, features a world of woodworking machinery and supplies.

ARLINGTON, Texas – Wood Pro Expo Texas, a regional marketplace for woodworking professionals, comes to the Arlington Convention Center March 12-13. The tradeshow, co-located with the Cabinets & Closets Conference & Expo, will include a full array of woodworking machinery and supplies used by small and medium-sized shops to manufacture cabinets, furniture, closet and home storage products, and other wood products.

Among the many exhibition highlights, attendees can view demonstrations of CNC machining centers, edgebanders, table saws and other woodworking equipment under power. The expo will also feature design-to-manufacture software, cabinet hardware, wood components and much more. The spotlight on technology includes the Running Machine Program.

Attendees are invited to attend free opening keynote presentations scheduled for each day of the expo. At 9 a.m. Thursday, March 12, FDMC Editor Will Sampson will interview Dustin Hunter, owner of Hunter Trim & Cabinets, about his company’s Lean manufacturing journey. At 9 a.m. Friday, March 13, Greg Lutz, owner of Lutz Woodworks, will discuss his company’s adoption of technology including the recent implementation of a manufacturing execution system to streamline operations from the production floor to the jobsite.

The two-day expo is preceded by a full-day conference on Wednesday, March 11. The conference includes separate closet and cabinet education tracks each geared to inspire professionals to improve operational efficiencies and grow revenues. The conference concludes with tours of First Source Cabinet Doors manufacturing plant and the showroom of Techline Furniture, Cabinetry and Closets.

Woodworking Network, organizer of the event, is offering free admission to the expo hall to attendees who register online using the passcode CCIMEDIA20. The code will also provide registrants a 25 percent discount to attend the conference or other pay-for events, including the Top Shelf Design Awards reception, Thursday, March 11 at AT&T Stadium.
