BONNER, MT -- Stimson Lumber Co. has reduced the sale price of its closed plywood mill in Bonner from $16 million to $11 million.

According to the Missoulian, the Montana Department of Environmental Quality recently announced that PCB-contaminated soil from a cooling pond along the Blackfoot River had been properly disposed of and that the company and its real estate agents had fielded calls from potential buyers.

Last month, approximately 130,000 square feet of roof the 500,000-square-foot plant collapsed under heavy snow. The sale would include approximately 150 acres of land that the plant partially occupies.
