Steves & Sons announces three promotions across the company

SAN ANTONIO — Steves & Sons, the oldest millwork manufacturing company in the United States under the same family ownership and management, has promoted three new men to the sales leadership team.

The company promoted Adam Guthrie, Ben Battjes, and Jason West from regional sales managers to directors of sales. These promotions, the company says, ensure customers are being heard and the company’s customer service remains best in class in the millwork industry.

As directors of sales for Steves & Sons, Guthrie, Battjes, and West will manage the outside presence for both its regional and area sales management teams. Their field experience with the company’s customer base will be invaluable in guiding a team of industry leaders.

“Adam, Ben and Jason have earned their stripes in organizing and managing our field representation, and that management continues to evolve. They have been central to our success and we are grateful for their hard work and commitment. We are door people,” said Sam Bell Steves III (Tres), chief executive officer.

Guthrie is based in Valdosta, Georgia. As a graduate of Middle Georgia State University, he has 10 years of sales experience, six of which have been with Steves & Sons. He is family man who enjoys the outdoors, including golfing, fishing and lake outings.

Battjes is based in Middlebury, Indiana, and has worked in the millwork industry for 11 years, with nine of those years at Steves & Sons. A Ball State University graduate, he has been happily married for 13 years with three children. He enjoys working on his farm as a hobby.

West is based in Houston, Texas, and has worked for Steves & Sons for four years. A graduate of East Carolina University, he has over 13 years of service as an aviation officer in the Army National Guard. Outside of his professional and military commitments, West is a devoted parent to two young sons. He enjoys spending quality time with his family, playing golf and traveling.

“We are growing our team across all departments of our business, and with that comes the well-deserved advancement of our current leadership. As we celebrate the achievements of Adam, Ben and Jason, we look forward to their continued accomplishments and direction of this growth at Steves & Sons,” added Tres Steves.
