SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - StarMark Cabinetry, a subsidiary of cabinet giant MasterBrand, will close for two weeks after two of its employees tested positive for COVID-19.

A MasterBrand spokesperson said April 27 is the target date for reopening. Employees will be furloughed until then. Healthcare benefits will continue.

“Although there have only been two confirmed cases of COVID-19 within our workforce, we have been evaluating developments in the area and believe this is an important step to take not just for our employees, but for the public health of the Sioux Falls community we are proud to call home,” MasterBrand said in its statement.

In September 2019, StarMark laid off 42 employees because of lower demand. The company currently employs around 500.
