Sherwin-Williams to buy Sayerlack wood coatings

CLEVELAND, OH --

Sherwin-Williams has reached an agreement to purchase Arch Industrial Wood Coatings of Pianoro, Italy, which trades under the Sayerlack brand name.

Sayerlack caters to the joinery, furniture and cabinet markets. The 56-year-old company had net sales of $147 million in 2009.
 
Sayerlack operates several manufacturing sites across Western Europe along with a network of sales, technical, and distributor representatives serving clients in Asia and the United States.
