Shermag recalls 2,300 wood cribsQUEBEC CITY - Some 2,300 wood drop-side baby cribs made for Shermag in China have been recalled to repair risks of entrapment, suffocation and fall hazards.

The U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission and Shermag made the announcement, along with U.S. CPSC's Canadian counterpart agency. About 800 of the wood cribs were sold in Canada; the remainder in the U.S. Some were sold through Land of Nod and other baby specialty stores from September 2004 through December 2008 for between $400 and $800.

Shermag operates a development center in Sherbrooke near Quebec City, and a manufactury at
Shermag – Asia in Dong Guan City, China.
